After Bathtub IV, he offers us another tilt-shifting video, this time filmed in Sydney Harbor, which proves that Keith definitly masters the technique of tilt-shifting.

Bathtub is a personal project that will document 12 months of life in ‘Little Sydney’.

The Piano is a short animation movie directed by Aidan Gibbons in 2003 while he was at University.

As Aidan wrote in the FAQ about this movie, the inspiration for this short hugely come from the music : “Comptine d’un autre été : L’après-midi” by Yann Tiersen.

Machu Picchu Post is a short 3D film made at Supinfocom Arles in 2008 by Clement Crocq, Margaux Durand-Rival and Nicolas Novali.

This is the story of the unexpected meeting between a young peruvian boy living with his lama and a pilot from the airmail flying above the boy’s house.

Bathtub IV by Keith Loutit

Tilt shifting technique can give some kind of extraordinary results, in particular when it is done by a master like Keith Loutit, a Sydney based photographer.

All the images you see in this helicopter rescue mission video are REAL. No models or digital additions. This is just reality seen through the eyes of Keith.

And it’s beautiful.

Mon ami Charly is a graduation short film by Julien Duval, Loïc Quesada, Rémy Terreaux and Magda Wydrzynska, students at the ESMA school in Montpellier, France.

The music is by Fred Abrial.

Heaven (Fully Flared Intro Video Remix)

Heaven is one of the standout tracks from the 2008 UNKLE album ‘End Titles – Stories for Film”, an eclectic collection of recordings inspired by the moving image.

Heaven was used in the acclaimed skate film ‘Fully Flared’ directed by Spike Jonze and Ty Evans. The collaboration inspired the directors to take footage and re-edit a sequence of shots that shows the Lakai skateboarding team demonstrate their considerable skills as they negotiate various exploding obstacles. With Heaven as the musical backdrop, the resulting marriage of sound to picture is quite extraordinary. No CGI was used and as far as we know no skateboarders were hurt while shooting this particular sequence, though that is hard to believe in some of the shots.
