Tilt shifting technique can give some kind of extraordinary results, in particular when it is done by a master like Keith Loutit, a Sydney based photographer.

All the images you see in this helicopter rescue mission video are REAL. No models or digital additions. This is just reality seen through the eyes of Keith.

And it’s beautiful.

Kutiman (a young musician from Tel Aviv) mixes unrelated Youtube videos and edit them to create stand-alone clips. This is impressive.

On his website, you can find the credits for all videos used to form each song. You can also find more about his work on his MySpace.

Heaven is one of the standout tracks from the 2008 UNKLE album ‘End Titles – Stories for Film”, an eclectic collection of recordings inspired by the moving image.

Heaven was used in the acclaimed skate film ‘Fully Flared’ directed by Spike Jonze and Ty Evans. The collaboration inspired the directors to take footage and re-edit a sequence of shots that shows the Lakai skateboarding team demonstrate their considerable skills as they negotiate various exploding obstacles. With Heaven as the musical backdrop, the resulting marriage of sound to picture is quite extraordinary. No CGI was used and as far as we know no skateboarders were hurt while shooting this particular sequence, though that is hard to believe in some of the shots.

Ready for 5 minutes of zen ?

Here is what Onesize, creator of this video, has to say about it :

After hearing work from ‘The American Dollar‘ we really felt the urge to create a music video for one of their new songs. Inspired by the music we had the idea of making a decaying world. One single cameramovement from left to right, showing a landscape, looping 9 times. Day becomes night and even the seasons go by. After we finished the production, we decided to reverse the whole video. This gives you a seamingly happy end, but you know what’s going to happen. There are no lyrics and we did not pay attention to the title of the song, we just felt this was the right thing to do.
